Silk-FAW unveiled today the S9 premium hypercar at Auto Shanghai 2021. The S9, which makes its debut as the first model in Silk-FAW’s ‘S’ series, is a unique combination of ultra-luxury premium sportiness, high performance and electrification: an example of Chinese and Italian innovation.
“We have signed the joint venture under the Belt & Road initiative for China, Italy and the global automotive industry. With the launch of the first S9 model, we are confident to achieve a global success” said Xu Luping, Chairman and Party Secretary of FAW Group.
Every feature of the S9 is designed for optimum performance and unparalleled driving pleasure. Its futuristic design surpasses the traditional limits of aerodynamics to create a hypercar beyond precedent. The S9 also features innovative carbon-fibre air intakes that are seamlessly integrated into the front LED headlights to channel fresh air to the engine for maximum aerodynamic efficiency.
The S9 and the 100% electric ‘S7’ will be produced in Emilia-Romagna, while the other ‘S’ series models will be manufactured in the province of Jilin in China.
