Silk Sports Car’s flagship car, the S9, will compete in the Compasso D’Oro 2024. The competition was originally established in Milan in 1954 and, in its more than sixty years of history, has become the most prestigious annual industrial design award in Italy, recognizing outstanding industrial design in various categories.
Designed by Walter De Silva, the S9 is a hypercar that embodies the perfect balance between beauty and functionality. In its lines, no detail has been left to chance. Aesthetic language, essential and dynamic, has been used to complement the shape of the body, restoring an innovative yet timeless style that recalls the Italian design of historic racing cars.
From this complex research process, in 2022, the S9 was listed on the ADI Design Index, a certificate of high prestige and visibility. Awarded by ADI – Association for Industrial Design – to projects that demonstrated exceptional innovation and merit over the year, this recognition has allowed the S9 project to be nominated for the Compasso D’Oro Prize, the final act of a careful process of surveying design and entrepreneurial excellence.
The S9’s nomination for the Compasso D’Oro Award underscores not only the exceptional quality of its design, but also the Silk Sports Car project’s desire to pursue, through its know-how, excellence in Italian industrial design.
